About the project

We believe every person holds dreams for a better future - for our world, for our countries, and for our communities. Yet too often, these dreams aren't expressed, heard, or realised.

Canva, in collaboration with our partners, is creating an open platform that gives everyone a voice in shaping the future we can aspire to together. This starts with one 'simple' question: "What's a goal you'd like to see achieved in your lifetime?" We're big believers in the power of goals.

They're a way of transforming our visions into visible action. By capturing and sharing the world's collective goals, we get a unique opportunity to understand what matters the most to people everywhere, and take steps towards making positive and lasting change.

The Goals Platform is an open global platform that gives everyone a voice towards shaping the future we aspire to. If we don't imagine the world we want, how can we possibly create it? Progress begins with a shared vision of what’s possible.

We’re asking you to define the goals that matter most for your planet, country, and community. The platform is non-partisan and designed to surface shared ambition.

You can submit a goal using the submission form(opens in a new tab or window). Describe the future you want to see. You can keep it simple or add more detail to explain why it matters. You can choose to include your name and location – or submit anonymously. Leaving your email will allow us to follow up with you.

The Ad Council is uniquely positioned to bring together the full power of media, marketing, and creative communities to drive impact on the issues that matter most. For more than 80 years, they've helped shape national conversations around public health, civic engagement, and social impact. The Ad Council Research Institute (ACRI) leverages the Ad Council's insight-driven approach to examine some of the most important social issues of our time.

Their ability to convene partners across industries and connect with communities at scale ensures that the work reflects the real experiences of people across the US, not just those already engaged, but those who are often hardest to reach.

Canva provides the platform. You provide the vision. Before anything can be built, it has to be imagined. So we made a place for people to start.

At the heart of Canva is our Two-Step Plan(opens in a new tab or window): Step One is building one of the world's most valuable companies. Step Two is doing the most good we can.

The goals you share help us understand what matters to people, and become the starting point for programs and partnerships.

Contributions submitted will be included in a public report and website experience – a summary of what people care about most and where goals overlap. We will publish our methodology and key findings openly to ensure clarity and transparency in how results are interpreted.

These will be our starting point for further initiatives planned for late 2026 and into 2027. Canva will help accelerate progress on top goals. Stay tuned for updates!

We only collect the information you choose to provide. You may submit a goal anonymously. Any information you share is used solely to analyze and present the goals in aggregate - helping us identify patterns and areas of shared ambition.

Canva believes strongly in the power of sharing actual words to inspire the world. By submitting your goal, Canva may publish it with your first name and location (if provided) on the Goals website and in marketing.
